C. A. Bowerman

C. A. Bowerman

Thank You to Classmate Gerri Rivera for providing the following information for our classmate C.A. Bowerman.

C.A. loved his family and especially his grandaughter Sofia.  It's with sadness we say our farewells.

C.A will be remembered by many as an accomplished athlete and popular classmate in school.  He will be missed by all of his family, friends and those he loved.

If you have any photographs that we can include here, on his memory page, please contact us so we can share them with all.  It will be greatly appreciated.

Vikings may sail on from this earthly plane, but they will not be forgotten.  RIP C.A.

This was a shocker. I remember C.A from high school. We had Phys Ed together with Coaches Capelli and Landers, and I think a couple of other classes. When he learned I was Italian, I became "IceA BoxA," and it stuck.

Didn't see him again after graduation until our 10 year reunion, the only one I've managed to attend. I was still IceA BoxA. That was the last time I saw him, or any of the former classmates.

No doubt when we meet again, I'll be wandering across some cloud and hear "Hey, IceA BoxA," and I'll know right away who it is.

RIP, C.A,. You provided some good memories of those long ago years.

I am so sorry to hear about C.A.'s passing. He was one of my favorite classmates at VHS and remember him always smiling and in a happy mood.  After he became a lawyer, I would run into him sometimes at Metro Court and he was still the same friendly guy, smiling as ususal.  After graduation, I went to work for what was then Municipal Court and found out that one of my co-workers was his sister, Carol, who gave me her recipe for green chile casarole which is to this day one of my favorite recipes.  My sincerest condolensces go out to all of C.A.'s family.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of C.A. I was shocked to see the posting. I have so many good memories of C.A. throughout high school with Gerri and C.A. My parents loved them both and considered Gerri to be their second daughter. They were so delighted when Gerri, C.A. and their son, Jeff (as a toddler), visited them in LA in the summer of 1968. I think my dad felt as though he had a grandson! My thoughts and prayers go out to C.A.'s family. Rest in peace, C.A.  Know that your memory lives on with all of us.

I'm so grateful to our classmates for all of their kind remarks about C.A.  His buttons would be busting from pride!  You have made our son feel very good over your memories with C.A.  He still spoke about those days over the years, usually about something funny or mischievous!  C.A. never stopped being mischievous.  Thank you, my friends.  You're all so special!
