Meet and Greet in the Bosque

Friday Evening at the Cottonwood Patio in the Bosque - Our "Meet and Greet" event was held down in the Bosque at the Tamaya Resort, just 200 yards away from the river.

Classmates showing up at the Tamaya resort were greeted by our VHS Cheerleaders and directed to the 'bosque shuttle' which took us all down into the heart of the Bosque.  At the Cottonwood Building, we had set up a casual patio 'hangout' with some snacks and an outdoor bar on the patio.

We were aiming for something between the 'Pony Express' and a 'river party'... so it surprised no one,  when a great party ensued.  Thanks to nametags with pictures of our 'younger selves, we quickly found out that although we may all look different... at least we still 'sounded' like those faces on the nametags.  The surprised looks of final recognition were entertaining for everyone.

Best comment of the evening had to be: "I love being this age, I can hug anybody!"  And it was a smiling hugfest with stories of yesteryear and the pure joy of seeing old friends and new.  What a great time!

NOTE: The Photo Galleries are set up as Slide Shows, just pick a photo with your mouse arrow (or your finger.. on a tablet) and left click on it with your mouse to start the show.

The slides change automatically every few seconds, but you can 'Stop' and view at your own pace if you choose. if you click on the 'pause/play' button at the top left of each picture, then simply click on the arrows on the sides of the photos, to move forward or back.

Using the controls at the top left of each picture, the slide show will stop or begin again. And, clicking on the large X on the right of each picture will take you back to Bulletin Board View of that slide gallery.

Hint:  If the pictures are too small for you, try this computer trick: While holding down the 'Ctrl' key, depress the '+' key a time or two.  That will (on most computers) make the images on your screen larger.

Likewise, using the 'Ctrl' key with the '-' key (to the right of the zero key) will make the images smaller again.
