Victor Padilla

Victor M. Padilla, 72, passed away on December 1, 2018 after a short illness of leukemia.

He was born on November 12, 1946, in Albuquerque New Mexico, where he met his wife of 53 years at the University of New Mexico. He then joined the US Navy in 1965, and served for eight years. After moving to Longmont, CO, in 1977, he worked for NCAR, calibrating instruments aboard aircraft, which took him to India and Scotland.

He was later employed by IBM for thirty two years, as a Systems Information Analyst.

After retirement, he became a member of the Mile High Jeep club, loving every minute of jeep crawling. He rebuilt his jeep, which he named Bendicon, numerous times, to adapt to more challenging trails. He loved jeeping right up to his diagnosis in September.

He was a Eucharistic minister at St. John the Baptist and volunteered at the Food Bank, packing and delivering food. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Vic enjoyed reading books, listening to music and working on projects in the garage. He so loved his wife, Pamela, and loved spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela, three daughters, Lynea, Laurie and Heather and seven grandchildren: Chris, Robert, Rebecca, Veronica, Marcos, Daniel and Ryan, and his beloved sister, Louise.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the St. John's Food Bank, or a charity of your choice.
